Jackrabbit Star
Jackrabbit Star is a site-specific mix media wall installation between reality and warped perspectives. Jackrabbit Star brings hope and guidance to the endangered species in the Mexico/USA border. In this piece, Milkweed Prostrate star-like flower buds are depicted at the bottom of the installation as Jackrabbit Star attracts propagation and good luck to the plants. Milkweed Prostrate plants are rare and endangered; they also attract pollinators and are a host for monarch butterflies. This plant is only found in a few counties in the USA, including Starr County in South Texas and in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
